Questions people ask before dropping the first file

Does the drawing lose quality?

No. Curves, text, colors and effects are untouched; only the declared version number changes. There is no re-export and no re-compression.

Does the converted file always open?

In most cases, but it depends on how far back you go. To 2021 or newer the chance is high; between 2017 and 2020 it usually opens; below that the internal format was very different and CorelDRAW might complain. The tool shows you the odds before you convert.

My file is old and a newer CorelDRAW refuses it. Does this help?

No, that is the opposite direction. Files from X3 or earlier are detected and warned about; modern CorelDRAW opens those directly, so the problem is usually file corruption.

What about the official way?
